So, I have the best mom. It never fails that when I reach for the phone to call her, it rings, and it is her calling me or vice versa. That's just how it is with us. We are often thinking of each other at the same time. It is like we can sense each other. That's just how we are.
This weekend, my parents came to stay at my house. My mom and I and the girls hit all of our favorite places. Winners was first on the list. We both found delicious purses that we should not have bought, but we did! We shopped for Ashley's volleyball shorts and enjoyed Starbucks drinks. We ate meals out in the backyard. We drank tea and chatted over magazines.
My mom is staying in town this week. In order to spend a mother-daughter day, I took a day off work on Monday. We were going to head out to Nanton to the antique shops, but then figured they would be closed after the weekend. Instead, we did some treasure hunting at Value Village and neither of us came away disappointed. We also went to a new antique shop that Sean had introduced me to a few weeks ago. Once again, we came away with treasures - both of us starting a new collection of sorts.
It all came to an end too soon. I am back to work, Mom has gone to stay with my sister for the rest of the week and will be heading out to Fairmont with some girl friends on Friday. I really wish we could spend more time together. We just enjoy each others' company so much. Perhaps one day...
