So, I found a treasure in the bottom of a forgotten purse.
I was sorting through some things in my closet and pulled out a purse that I had used extensively in the summer. Now, it is out of season and, like me, waiting patiently for spring to arrive. Amongst some lipstick, used Kleenex and loose change, I found this little album I had made a few years ago.
Browsing in a stationary aisle, or tagging along behind my husband at the hardware store, or even at the dollar store (my favorite), I am always on the lookout for items that can be repurposed and used for scrapbooking. One day, I spied these plastic holders for name tags at Walmart. Instantly, I saw their potential to become something fabulous!
I attached the pages together with rings and just because there was a slot there, I added red ribbon adorned with the perfect word.
I rounded the corners of my double-sided patterned paper on the outside edges before placing them in the plastic pages.
Using Photoshop, I sized my pictures to 2x2 and left a little white border around them.
Finally, I adorned each page with some pressed paper flowers by Making Memories.
It was a simple process that did not take me very long. The results were rewarding...so much so, that I carry it around in my purse to show it off whenever the opportunity arises.
Now that it has been rescued from its abandoned prison, this mini album will be treasured forever. However, it may just be time to make a new one...
