So, my two shows are back on for another new season.
I don't watch much TV as a rule...I'd rather be scrapping, but I look forward to sitting down once a week to watch Survivor and The Apprentice.
Survivor started last week, so tonight was the second episode. I have enjoyed this show over the years, mainly for the challenges that they participate in. I am a competitive gal, so challenges of strength, endurance and problem-solving are my thing. I often think that I should go on the show, but when I watch how they target the "older middle-aged" women right off the bat, I always feel that it is an unfair assumption that they would have nothing to offer.
Watching Survivor for many years now, my girls have been hooked in with us. When they were younger and before we had PVR (to record the show) it came on too late for the girls to watch, but they would hear Sean and I discussing it, critiquing the players and well-wishing our favorite competitors. Now, in high school, the girls look forward to sitting down as a family with us to enjoy the antics of this game. It is great to have them join us and give their opinions on the players and enter into weekly conversations about who we like and don't like on the show.
"The Apprentice" premiers on March 6 and I can hardly wait for that one too! This time around, it is a Celebrity Apprentice, which brings a different dynamic to the strategy in this game. I think it is great that those who have money (and therefore do not need to win more) are able to use their celebrity status to earn money for charity. Now that is admirable.
I have learned so much about being a project manager from watching this show. I really think I would be good at it. It is all about being able to see the big picture and where the most money can be made...all the while staying likable with those you work with! Once again, I enjoy watching the challenges that these players face and how each of them approaches it.
So there you go...a full run-down of my two favorite TV shows.
What are yours?
