So, I have started Project Life as a monthly concept rather than weekly.
It was such a relief to have a whole month to document rather than every week. I was able to document the stories that were important to me, but didn't have to fill up a 2-page spread every week.
My stories are featured randomly rather than chronological and that's okay.
The deer head and "Let it Snow" cards are from dearestsomeday.
The "2013" card is also from dearestsomeday.
Most of my papers and journaling cards are ones that I had on hand so I feel good about using up what I have in stock.
One of the inserts that I will have each month is my Photo A Day project. I printed out a grid of my photos for the month, typed up the prompts at the bottom of the page and slipped it into an 8.5x11 page protector.
A second insert that will be a monthly feature in my PL album are the calendar pages ripped from my dayplanner to represent the month.
I redesigned an 8x8 page protector by trimming it and sewing a strip of patterned paper to repunch the holes along the side. I also added two label stickers back to back on the edge of the page protector to act as a tab.
This is month one of 2013 and so far I love this project!
NOTE: I am in the midst of redesigning the look of my blog and am having some difficulty with the width of my main column so the photos appear to be cut off. I apologize and am working on remedying this as soon as I figure it out! Any suggestions??
