So, last weekend I finally upgraded to Snow Leopard.
I know, I know, I am behind the times. But it is done now.
I wish I could say I was happy. But I'm not.
Technology is changing and morphing and updating faster than we (or at least I) can keep up with most days. It makes my head spin. I still consider my iPhone 4S relatively new but try to find a case for it nowadays, or even a charging station! It's old news already.
So as you can imagine, upgrading to Snow Leopard had an impact. Initially, I was pleased. The update went rather smoothly. I installed the CD and waited and hit the required buttons as prompted. Since it was the end of the night I went to bed feeling good about having done that.
The next day was Saturday and I set out to do a whack load of printing (because I am already drastically behind on my Project Life album) and it wouldn't print. Wouldn't even send the command to my printer. Now, granted, my printer is an older model, but it is an Epson Pro printer, wide format, beautiful photos and otherwise working just fine.
Long story short, I spent the better part of the day troubleshooting, googling, uninstalling and reinstalling. After several hours of troubleshooting and a trip to the Apple store I managed to finally print - but a 4x6 image printed out at about 2x3in in the centre of the page. I had no words (or rather I did, but I didn't let them come out). So I uninstalled and reinstalled, turned off and on again. Then I printed one full 4x6 photo successfully! Totally exhausted but relieved, I went to bed eager to print the next morning.
Next morning, I set out to attack my print load once again. But the first photo came out 2x3 again. And so did the second and third...
Now I am at a loss. I am not in a position to replace my $700 photo printer, which actually is in working condition. I am not even too excited about the printer options out there right now. So I don't know what to do.
And in the meantime, I am getting further and further behind on my scrapbooking, my passion, the part of my day that fuels my creativity. I am frustrated and at a loss. So please bare with me and my lack of scrapbooking posts...
Do any of you have a great printer that you would recommend?
