So, I found a customizable notebook system that I can personalize as a daytimer.
Back in January I purchased the cutest little daytimer at Chapters. It had adorable handwritten images and quotes, and I loved it, so I bought it. However, it didn't take long to realize that the spaces to write my daily entries were not big enough to hold all of the thoughts I wanted for the day. Boo...
That led me on a bit of a journey to discovering this very cool customizable notebook system called arc that I purchased at Staples.
The notebook is held together with these discs that you can buy in a small or large size. I have the small ones to start out.
The discs allow the book to lay flat while open, and you can even fold the entire thing in half (the front cover towards the back, if that makes sense) to write on one side at a time.
The pages are punched in a special way to allow you to pull items out of the notebook and rearrange them.
And to re-insert the pages, you simply press on either side of the punched page and it clips back on to the disc.
This system comes with a variety of refills, one of them being a Weekly/Monthly refill. Unfortunately the Staples where I bought my notebook did not carry the Weekly/Monthly refills. But I was so inspired by the possibilities of this notebook that I bought it anyway.
When I got home, I pulled out my various day / week / month stamp sets and set to work personalizing my new notebook.
How fun is that? Actually, I went a bit crazy playing with colours and sizes of stamps, but that is what personalizing is all about, isn't it?
My Staples store did carry these zip pockets for the arc system that can be inserted in the same way as the pages. I figured I needed a couple of those...
And since I would be personalizing the format of this daytimer, I decided I needed some fun colours to write inside my new daytimer too! I found this mini pen set at Staples as well.
With the zip pockets, I can keep my coloured pens handy.
I must say, it makes me smile to see what I have created for the week...
There were a few choices for covers as well. I chose this simple black & white design, but I am already thinking that I will personalize it in some way too.
And this is just the beginning of the ideas that I have for my new personlized daytimer...
