So, I have a new favourite app called Waterlogue.
I'm sure many of you have seen it already. Isn't it fantastic?
It combines so many of my favourite things...art, watercolour, photography, self-expression.
I love that it is not perfect, that it is a bit smeared and messy. This just makes it all the more real to me. And original.
Of course, everything I look at now has the potential to become a watercolour painting. I am approaching my photography from a different angle and asking myself 'would this make a good painting?'
Once upon a time I took a watercolour class. I absolutely loved it. There was just the right combination of technique, challenge and room for self-expression. The downside was that it took a lot of time to complete a painting. I am a results girl, so revisiting one of my watercolours several times to complete, refine and perfect it grew old for me. I needed a craft that I could complete in a short timeframe. I guess that is why I am entertained by scrapbooking.
With the discovery of this app, I get to combine my love of photography and the beauty of watercolour.
This makes me happy.
