So I was inspired to mix gold embossing with woodgrain this week.
Have you seen the new Grand Bazaar collection by Basic Grey? It is truly stunning. Such rich colours and fun products to embellish with. But what really caught my attention was the gold screenprinted wood die cuts. I entered the Basic Grey blog contest to try to win the collection, but alas, I did not win. So instead, I decided to create my own version.
And that's when this happened...
I pulled out a few of my coveted pieces of woodgrain patterned paper and started stamping images with VersaMark.
Next, I poured on the gold embossing powder.
And finished by using my heat gun to heat and melt the powder, leaving a lovely sparkly image on top of the woodgrain.
I don't know what it is about this effect, but I am in love with it!
Be sure that you are going to see it on many future projects of mine...
