So, here are a few more pages from my Spring Break mini album.
I am following the Studio Calico class called Details Mini by Tina Aszmus but using our recent Spring Break trip as the theme for the challenges and inspiration taught in this class.
I love saving and using 'stuff' that I collect on a trip. Here, the blue card was our pass into the gym at our condo.
And then we went on a lovely hike up Cougar Creek for the day.
On our way down, we were bombarded by the intoxicating smell of amazing food, and we were so tired and hungry. So instead of heading back to our car (further down the creek) we followed the smell to a lovely restaurant where we sat out on the patio with a 180 degree view of mountains at sunset!
For this hike I took along my vintage Canon AE1 camera and the following are a few of the shots I took (real film) and added to my mini upon returning home and having the film developed.
One of the challenges was to include a 'Currents' list, which I did by using mini stamps and a little washi tape.
And one night, I was inspired by something I saw online and drew this flower page (upside-down). The example I saw was simply in B&W but I had my watercolours sitting beside me, so I began painting the flower pattern that I had just drawn. I'm so happy with how it turned out!
