So, one of the components of my Travel Journal is this little mini book of photos from my trip to Spain in June.
My goal was to keep everything very simple and let the photos be the main event. All papers (like the full page woodgrain I used here) and most of the elements that I used in this book were from the Roam Collection as well.
Here I told the story on this tag, which I then slipped behind a photo.
Because we visited 3 places on our 'tapas night' I wanted some consistency, so I put a strip of patterned paper along the one side and punched out circles with numbers for these stories.
This top left photo has a little tab (from Michaels) to lift up the photo and reveal more journaling underneath.
I love tabs! So I was happy to see that there were a few included in the Roam kit, one of which you can see here.
And then there is this page which tells the story of a very jam-packed evening. Because I had multiple photos that I wanted to use for this one night, I chose to create this flip up book to contain it all on a spread. You can see all of the photos on a little Instagram video I have on my feed.
Full-page photos are quickly becoming my favourite thing. This page documents the discovery of a gelato shop on a very hot and humid afternoon.
I love how this printed Notes badge looks so real here!
This trip was work-related, so even though most of my photos are of touring the city, during daytime hours we were deep in training. Those photos are not quite as interesting, so I have printed a few, along with our training itinerary and created a little pocket to house them.
And finally, I dedicated a page to a growing friendship I made with this darling lady!
And the final page in my album is, of course, the view from the plane as we were lifting off.
So happy to have this memory of a wonderful time spent in Spain. And I think TNs are my new favourite...
