So, I am yearning for Spring.
Since the tulips aren't coming up in the garden yet, I had to go buy some at the grocery store this week.
Our winters are so long and the gloom drags on for what seems like forever.
So it is usually around this time of year when I get restless and need a little pick-me-up.
These tulips helped. Even though they only lasted a week...
It was time for another full page photo in my Traveler's Notebook. So I printed this photo at 4.25x8.25in, the size of my TN page. Then I used a little corner rounder punch that I have to match the rounded edge of my page and adhered the photo down.
At first I thought I might make this one with an added vellum overlay and type my journaling on the vellum before assembling the page, but to be honest, I didn't have the energy at the time. So I kept it simple instead. This way, the photo shines in the spread and is not clouded by vellum.
On the left I wrote my journaling by hand. Then I selected this 'currently' banner from the Duly Noted digital kit by One Little Bird and stitched across the top. Now, here's a little trick I use: Instead of sewing the banner to the actual TN page (and having to negotiate the whole book going through my machine as well as deal with the stitching that occurs on the back side of the page) I just do stitching on the banner, then I adhere it to my TN page with adhesive. And if you didn't know better, you'd think I stitched it right in the book! :)
Anyway, another spread done in no time at all!
